Doc Auth + FaceMatch

How to do a Face Match verification after scanning an ID with the PALIDIN software

Written by Luis Fonseca

(PALIDIN version 3.5.0 or higher is necessary when doing Doc Auth + FaceMatch. You can download and install the latest PALIDIN version HERE)

To be able to do a face match verification after scanning an ID, a workflow will need to be created that includes this additional verification. We have a guide on how to create a flow HERE.

When you launch the PALIDIN Desktop application, the default workflow set for your department will automatically be selected.

If your organization has multiple workflows available, you can manually select a different workflow from the dropdown menu in the app.

How it works:

  • Launch the PALIDIN Desktop app - The default department-level workflow is pre-selected. Make sure you have PALIDIN version 3.5.0 or higher.

  • (Optional) Select another available workflow - Use the dropdown menu to switch to a different flow, if permitted.

  • Scan an ID - Once the ID is scanned, the system will ask you to enter your guest's email or phone number so that the FaceMatch request can be sent. Please select either email or phone and click on "OK" after filling the information.

  • View result for the Doc Auth - The Overall result will show as Pending since the FaceMatch request hasn't been completed yet. The Doc Auth result will show the result for the Document Authentication of the ID itself.

  • View overall result - Once your guest has completed the FaceMatch verification, you will be able to view the result inside the Applicant section within the FraudFighter Portal.
